Wise Owl Joins In Back to School Events in Charleston & North Charleston

Last year we were delightfully surprised at the number of books we gave away at the City of Charleston’s First Day Festival, handing out more than 1300 books in a little less than three hours. So this year, we tripled down. We’ll be attending three big Back to School events, giving away as many books as we can, starting today, August 1, 2026, with the Every 1 Voice Matters Back to School Event at CCSD District 4 Stadium from 12 - 3.

Next week, on August 8, we’re thrilled to join the CCSD McKinney-Vento Office for the 4th Annual Serving the Unhoused Event from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at the North Charleston Convention Center.

And then we’re back at the event that first inspired us, the City of Charleston First Day Festival on Sunday, August 9, from 1 - 4 p.m. We can’t wait to pass these books on to thousands of eager readers!
