Magnificent Book Give Day at Mary Ford Early Learning Center

Thank you so much to Mary Ford Early Learning Center in North Charleston for having us over this past May for the last Book Give of the 2025 Spring semester. We had a wonderful time helping the students pick out books to take home and to share with their siblings.

A student thinks hard about which books he wants to take home

One of my favorite moments was when one of the students ran up and gave me a great big hug and said, “Thank you so much for the books!” He’d found a children’s book with one of his favorite characters and couldn’t wait to get home to read it. We were also thankful for a kind donation of nearly 100 coloring books, which the students were thrilled to take home. In all, we gave away close to 900 books at the event.

What a wonderful wrap up to the school year and we can’t wait to start our Book Gives again this fall!
